Under the hood, the MKX is powered by a 3.7-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine producing a robust 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired to a responsive 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift for semi-manual control when desired. The front-wheel-drive configuration provides nimble handling and confident road grip while maintaining excellent fuel economy for the class — EPA-rated at around 19 MPG city / 26 MPG highway.
